Jo[hann]es Dauid heemssen" [i.e. to Doctor Baeckx[?], possibly Adriaan Baeckx van Baerlandt (1574-1650), President of the Collegium Collegium Trium Linguarum, Leuven, from Jan David Heemssen (1581-1644), of Antwerp, translator and publisher of Petrarch]. Binding: seventeenth-century full plain vellum over boards (water-stained); yapp fore-edges; two pairs of holes in fore-edge of boards for ties (missing, stubs remain). Pale blue stained textblock edges.
