Sibly's Universal system of natural history (1794-1808). Vol. 1 has juvenile scribble on endpapers and p.[1]; vol. 3 has basic (juvenile?) drawings of birds and plants on verso of plate leaves. Other pencil figures on v.1 fly leaf. Binding: early nineteenth-century sprinkled calf, with marbled paper boards; gold ruled spine; gold lettered and numbered red and black spine labels.
