Early inscription on flyleaf, perhaps with a shelfmark: "Roehampton W.4.[...?]". MS note pasted on to flyleaf describing the book's contents. Provenance: Inscribed on inner flyleaf: "Ashton Mosley Burnaston, Etwall, Derbyshire, 1881" [i.e. Ashton Mosley (1821-1887), son of Ashton Nicholas Every Mosley (1792-1875) and Mary Theresa Stables, and uncle of Col. Godfrey Mosley (1863-1945), who m. Hilda Crewe in 1918]. Binding: Eighteenth-century paneled calf, sewn on four raised bands (+ one false raised band). Upper board detached; flyleaves detached. Spine label wanting. Delaminated edges; leather scuffed.
