Leaves are in a somewhat acidic, oxidised state throughout; insect damage at foot of some endpapers and printed leaves at front and rear; water-staining at foot of leaves throughout; some leaves and maps becoming detached. Provenance: various manuscript booksellers' codes on front endpapers. Binding: eighteenth-century full calf (severly rubbed and scratched); sewn on seven sewing supports; double gilt fillet border; rebacked in calf (2013), with original gold-tooled spine reattached (missing at head and tail); marbled textblock edges.
