Also inscribed by him with the date 1752. and an illegible mark above. Pencil note by Robert Ketton-Cremer "This book belonged to my friend Hugh Gatty, Fellow and Librarian of St. Johns College Cambridge, who died on March 18th 1948". Also signed RW. Ketton-Cremer [i.e. Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)]. Binding: full alf with single gold fillet, sewn onto five raised bands; gold-tooled on spine, red spine label, largely wanting.
