Manuscript price[?] in pencil on front fly-leaf: "10:0". Binding: eighteenth-century French full brown calf; sewn onto five sewing supports; double and single gilt fillet border, with small cornerpiece stamps; on both covers a gilt stamp with the arms of Joseph Jean-Baptiste Fleuriau d'Armenonville (1661-1728), with the crossed maces of the Chancellor of France, and a ducal coronet above which is a magistrate's hat or mortier; double gilt fillet along board edges; gilt roll pattern on turn-ins; gold-tooled spine; gilt title label on spine. All edges gilt. Placard marbled endpapers.
