[i.e. Thomas Anson, of Shugbrough (1695-1773)]; pasted over eighteenth-century early armorial bookplate of Richard Banner [Banner (b. 1696) of Little Aston Hall, sold library to Thomas Anson in about 1745]. Binding: seighteenth-century sprinkled calf; blind fillet, with blind roll border; gilt tooled spine; four raised bands; board edges gilt.
