Provenance: Eighteenth-century Jacobean armorial bookplate: "Sr. Henry Harpur Bart" [usually associated with Sir Henry Harpur, 5th Baronet, (1708-1748), but perhaps also with Sir Henry (Harry) Harpur, 6th Baronet (1739-1789) ]. Binding: Eighteenth-century full sprinkled calf, gilt-tooled board edges. Sewn on five raised cords, gilt-tooled on spine. Red leather spine label, lettered in gilt: "Hampton's Polybius". Text-block edges sprinkled red.
