Shugborough [i.e. Thomas Anson, of Shugbrough (1695-1773)]; pasted over eighteenth-century early armorial bookplate of Richard Banner [Banner (b. 1696) of Little Aston Hall, sold library to Thomas Anson in about 1745]. Binding: eighteenth-century calf; double gilt fillet border; sewn onto five raised bands; gilt ruled spine.
