Provenance: eighteenth-century mantle Harpur armorial bookplate, with italic inscription: "Sr. Henry Harpur Bart" [i.e. Sir Henry Harpur, 5th Baronet (1708-1748) or his son Sir Henry (Harry) Harpur, 6th Baronet (1739-1789).] Binding: Eighteenth-century full mottled calf, double gilt fillet forming a border, five raised bands, tooling on edges. Vol. number in gilt direct on spine; gilt lettered spine-label: Franci Horace (wanting in v.1-3). Edges sprinkled red.
