Passeratij professoris olim regij aureas praefationes offert S. Patinus, Collega. 1637" ["Emundi Richerij" is probably Edmond Richer (1560-1631), French theologian, Doctor of Theology and syndic of the Faculty of Theology at the University of Paris (Sorbonne). "Petro Richer" is Pierre Richer, medical doctor and presumably the nephew ("fratre nepoti") of Edmond Richer]. Manuscript inscription on title page: "P Richer Medicus Parisiensis 1637". Manuscript markings and pen flourish on front pastedown and fly-leaf. Manuscript marginalia and markings in red pencil and underscoring of text throughout. Binding: seventeenth-century full plain vellum (sheepskin) over thin boards; manuscript title on spine.
