[i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]; with Mitchell's manuscript code at foot of leaf: "δ'." [i.e. delta' = Greek number 4]. Repeated manuscript phrases in minute hand on front fly-leaf: "louangér le seigneur" and "logica aut est scientia". Manuscript price code at head of title page: "4lt w/" [i.e. 4 livre tournois]. Manuscript inscription on recto of rear fly-leaf: "Studia Galliarum suisse florentiss. D. Hiero". Repeated manuscript words in minute hand on verso of rear fly-leaf: "Cornacuae" and "Cornacus". Manuscript inscription on inside of rear board: "Hic liber male Compactus postpone oratione epistolis". With occasional manuscript marginal notes in two different hands throughout the text. Binding: sixteenth-century full plain vellum over very thin limp boards; two pairs of holes in fore-edge of covers for ties (missing). Manuscript waste (vellum, black letter with rubrication, originally two columns per page, fifteenth-century?) wrapped around spine.
