Count Loménie de Brienne's library was sold in London, 28 April 1724, where Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742) undoubtedly purchased it. Label on front pastedown: 'Z' [printed in red] "58" [in manuscript black ink]. These inventory or shelfmark labels appear in books owned by Louis-Henri de Loménie, comte de Brienne. Binding: seventeenth-century mottled calf; gilt double and single fillet border; gilt armorial centrepiece stamp (with mermaid crest): arms of Louis-Henri de Lomenie, comte de Brienne (1635-1698); gilt title and cipher of the comte de Brienne on spine. Brown sprinkled edges.
