Pomes Penyeach is a collection of poems composed between 1904 and 1924 by James Joyce. It was published in 1927 by Shakespeare and Company, the same imprint that had issued Ulysses in 1922. This copy was owned by Vita Sackville-West and is one of three Joyce books in her collection. Her ownership inscription includes ‘Long Barn’, indicating that the book was acquired during the period in which she and Harold Nicolson lived at Long Barn, their home prior to Sissinghurst.
