[i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Binding: Imprimerie royale binding; eighteenth-century calf; double and single gilt fillet border, with small roundel cornerpiece stamps; gilt centrepiece stamp of the French royal arms surrounded by wreath; gilt roll pattern on board edges; gold-tooled spine divided into seven panels by six raised bands, with monogram stamp in six panels, probably of Louis XV, King of France (1710-1774), and gilt title on brown morocco label. Red burnished edges.
