Inscribed in a seventeenth century hand, and cropped by binder "E libris Joannis Shaw", [probably Sir John Shaw, 1st Baronet (c 1615 - 1680) and whose name apparently appears in the list of benefactors on final [missing] leaf. Binding: full polished calf sewn onto six raised bands, rebacked; double gold fillets.

Part of the Bristol Collection. The house and contents were acquired through the National Land Fund and transferred to the National Trust in 1956
