Provenance
Originally acquired and owned by Edward Agberowe (d.1680). Whereabouts unknown until acquired by Charles Johnson and gifted to Vita Sackville-West (1892-1962) in July 1929. At her death, inherited by Nigel Nicolson (1917-2004). Accepted in lieu of inheritance tax by HM Government in 2007 and allocated to Sissinghurst.
