Bibliographic description
3v. ; fol. Pencil manuscript price (v.1): 3 voll £3.15.0. Provenance: Armorial bookplate of: 'Thomas Anson Esqr. Shugborough' (printed in brown ink); presumably Thomas Anson, 1st Viscount Anson, (1767-1818), though this plate seems to have been pasted into many of the books at Shugborough, and is not necessarily reliable evidence of provenance. Binding: eighteenth-century sprinkled; triple gilt fillet border; gilt tooled spines; six raised bands; gilt lettered and numbered red and black spine labels.
