Old price information in pencil on pastedown and flyleaf of vol. 1 part 1: '10/6 6 vol.' and '6V - 12 - '. Provenance: Gardner Wilkinson Library (no inscription or bookplate) [i.e. Sir John Gardner Wilkinson (1795-1875)]. Provenance: Stencilled ownership mark on pastedowns: S (crest obliterated). Location in manuscript (18th century) on flyleaf of vol.1 part 1: '1st Bookcase Closet / 4th Shelf 6 vol.' Binding: Eighteenth-century full calf, spines gilt; red title labels and green volume labels (lacking on v.2 i-ii). Front board of vol. 2 part 2 detached.

Provenance

Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
