Binding: seventeenth-century calf; double gilt fillet border; gilt oval armorial centrepiece stamp (unidentified, French?): paly of six a chief ermine, count or viscount coronet, surrounded by knotted cord and wreath, within decorative border; recessed cords; single double gilt fillet panel along length of spine, with remnants of gilt title label, and single Jesuit device gilt stamp. Gilt edges.
