Provenance: Armorial lozenge bookplate: Frances Mary Richardson Currer (Franks 7624) [i.e. Frances Mary Richardson Currer (ca. 1784-1861), noted book collector, of Bierley Hall, Dudley Hill, near Bradford, Yorkshire]. Affixed to flyleaf: folded sheet with nineteenth-century ms. family tree showing how the Hervey family, earls and marquesses of Bristol, are descended from the Chichele family, traced back to Thomas Chichele (d. 1400). A note also adds “The marchioness of Bristol was descended from Agnes Chichele and her 1st husband from Tattershall”.
