Binding: eighteenth-century panelled sprinkled calf; double blind fillet border; single panel formed by blind roll pattern, with blind cornerpiece stamps; gilt dotted roll pattern on board edges. Rebacked in calf; spine with green title label, and nineteenth-century gilt ram's head crest stamp [i.e. a Legh family book].
