Provenance: manuscript initial "M." on front fly-leaf [i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Manuscript inscription on leaf A4v: "this is Tho: Godsman: his booke and my[crossed-out] is daughter Elezebeth Godsman departed this life the [one word, crossed-out] fifth of August 1696 and in the twelef yeare of her eage". Manuscript inscription on leaf 5X1r (last page of OT): "My Ant Elizabeth Godsman the wife of Thomas Godsman departed this life September the 21: 1706". Binding: seventeenth-century sprinkled calf; double blind fillet border, with blind roll pattern along spine-edge; gilt roll pattern on board edges; spine has gilt fillet and stamp decoration, with gilt title label. Red stained edges.
