[i.e. catalogue code of John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Manuscript marks on front pastedown and endpaper: "ed", "i", and "[delta]1". Binding: seventeenth-century full calf; quadruple blind and single gilt fillet border; armorial centrepiece stamped in gilt on both covers: arms of King Charles I, with surrounding decoration; single gilt fillet on board edges; blind fillet and gilt stamp decoration on spine, with gilt title label. Stubs of pair of blue cloth ties on each board. All edges gilt.
