Summary
Ornately decorated Indian festival decoration, in three separate sections. The top section appears to be made of plant stems or rushes, fashioned into a round piece and bowed. They are covered in wine velvet with a painted gold circle and dot design with gold beads sewn into the centre of the circle. Suspended at either end is a bell-shaped pompom, and a disc, that also appear at the bottom. All three pompoms are present, the top being in gold coloured card, with natural, pink and green pearls sewn vertically. Gold tinsel around the middle and a green base, of metallic card with sequins sewn on. The right-hand pompom has a pink base. The elongated side sections are covered in green foil strips with silver sequins and wire work. In between the green strips are pink foil strips with a string of pearls attached. There is also reeded gold paper braid. Very delicate condition. Overall colours pink, gold and green.
