Summary
Ornately decorated Indian festival decoration, in three separate sections. The top section appears to be made of plant stems or rushes, fashioned into a round piece and bowed. They are covered in wine velvet at the front and a paper back. The velvet has a gold circle and dot design. Suspended at either end is a bell-shaped pompom, and a disc, that also appear at the bottom. All three pompoms are present, each having red foil tops and green foil bases, both decorated with silver sequins and beads. The right-hand pompom has some gold tinsel missing, the bottom one has no green base. The elongated side sections have green and red vertical strips decorated with silver and gold beads and sequins and pearls and a gold reeded effect paper strip. Very delicate condition. Overall colours green, gold and silver. Broken part of bottom pompom also present, but only middle section.
