20v.. ill.. (plates), music, ports... 12mo. Acquired by the National Trust with other former Dyrham books in April 2022. Provenance: Pencil inscription in v.1 on recto of free endpaper 'MSB'. Binding: late eighteenth or early nineteenth-century marbled brown leather over boards; sewn on five raised bands; marbled endpapers; yellow stained edges; gilt border in 'Greek key' pattern on front and rear covers and on turnovers; single gilt fillet on board edges; decorative gold tooling to spine; green leather spine label with 'Bell's Shakespeare'; black leather spine label with play title; small black leather oval with volume number in gold.
