xix, [1], 665, [1], 15, [1] p., XXI plates . 8vo.. Not indigenous. Provenance: Eighteenth-century inscription on title page: Louis Sheers [?]. Nineteenth-century armorial bookplate: Sir Chas. E. H. Chadwyck Healey KCB of Wyphurst in the County of Surrey one of His Majesty's Counsel (Franks 14323) [i.e. Sir Charles Edward Heley Chadwyck-Healey, 1st baronet (1845-1919), lawyer]. Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Inscribed on v. 1 pastedown in Norris's hand: H. [i.e. Hodgson's] 17/4 42 Lot 259. Binding: Nineteenth-century full sprinkled calf over boards; gilt roll-tool to form a border; gilt edges and inner border; spine gilt, with title "Rae's History of the rebellion of 1715."; sewn on five raised bands.
