Evidence of a bookplate having been removed from front pastedown to vol. 1; vol. 2 has nineteenth century armorial bookplate with crest depicting a lion statant with tail extended and the Talbot motto "Prest d'accomplir" on front pastedown. Binding: vol. 1 has nineteenth century brown cloth; gilt tooled title labels reading "Library of Entertaining Knowledge. Egyptian Antiquities" and volume number on spine; vol. 2 has nineteenth century publisher's binding in textured purple cloth; gilt tooled title "Library of Entertaining Knowledge. Egyptian Antiquities" and volume number on spine; decorated white and green end-papers.
