Binding: late seventeenth or eighteenth-century blind-tooled sprinkled and plain calf; sewn onto six raised bands; covers have a framework of four panels formed by blind fillets and rolls, the inner three panels mitred together at the corners and with blind cornerpiece stamps; gilt roll pattern along board edges; gold-tooled spine (faded), with vase of flowers and repeated foliate stamps; brown goatskin label with gilt title and floral stamps on spine; spine cracked along length. Red and brown sprinkled textblock edges.
