Bound uniformly and shelved with "General regulations and orders ...", 1799. Old Wimpole shelfmarks: Tt/8[pencil]; Tt.2.15 [dark blue ink]. Provenance: Armorial bookplate (after 1754): Philip, Earl of Hardwicke. [i.e. Philip Yorke, 1st Earl of Hardwicke (1690-1764), created Baron Hardwicke, 1733, and Earl of Hardwicke, 1754. Also used in books acquired by his successors]. Binding: Late eighteenth- early nineteenth-century red grained leather over boards, gilt tooling on spine and board edges, single gilt fillet on covers, gilt edges.
