Provenance: Nineteenth-century armorial bookplate: 'John Gardner Wilkinson Brynfield House.' [i.e. Sir John Gardner Wilkinson (1795-1875)]. Binding: Sixteenth-century full vellum over boards, remains of ties, central blind stamp, edges sprinkled red, 4 raised bands, lettered in manuscript (3 different hands in Latin & English). Base of spine broken, revealing manuscript waste.
