Binding: late sixteenth-century calf binding (worn and torn on front cover); wooden boards; blind-tooled panel design with framework of thin thick thin fillets; middle panel with blind-tooled crested roll pattern of interlacing wheatsheaf-like ornaments; single blind fillet along board edges; fastenings of pair of brass clasps on front board, pair of brass catches on rear board; rebacked (eighteenth-century?) in calf; vellum pastedowns.
