Loosely inserted: photographic invitation to a private view of Edwin Landseer's painting 'Hawking in ye olden time' [1832], in Manchester, headed "By permission of ... Lord Francis Egerton M.P." and made out by hand to George Wilbraham [of Delamere House]. Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Delamere House 20/1 '39 Lot 928. Binding: eighteenth-century full calf over boards; triple blind fillet to form a border; rebacked in calf; gilt spine title 'Oldy's British librarian'; sewn on five raised bands.
