Nineteenth-century (?) ink note on pastedown: 'A presentation copy on large & fine paper ... bought at The Roxburghe sale." Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Inscribed on flyleaf in Norris's hand: Delamere House Cheshire 20/1 '39 Rebacked NESN.. Binding: Nineteenth-century full calf over boards; gilt roll-tools and fillets to form a border; gilt inner border; spine gilt; rebacked in calf preserving most of original spine; tape repairs to endpapers.
