Loosely inserted: slip of manuscript notes by Norris: "This little volume ... was found by me lying on the floor in one of the attic rooms at DANNY HURST on the sale view day Jan. 18 1947." On verso: his note identifying a Robert Fagg of Wiston (from Landed gentry p.688). Binding: Seventeenth-century full calf over boards; blind fillets to form a border and quarter fillet; blind panel on spine.
