Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Inscribed on v.1 pastedown in Norris's hand: Barlborough Hall 1938 1/-. [Probably from the Hodgson's sale of 7/7/38?] [i.e. Barlborough Hall, near Chesterfield, Derbyshire; library formed by Reaston and Rodes families].. Binding: Eighteenth- or early nineteenth-century full calf over boards; brown leather spine label with title 'Maddock's Florists directory'.
