Orientation: Vertical Text Substrate: handmade laid paper Ink/Pigment: black printing ink Type: BOUND BOOK Binding Type: Inboard binding, raised supports Date of Binding: contemporary Binder's Name: English End Leaves: Sewn single fold of plain white laid paper within an outside hook of the same. Stub and outermost full leaf as pastedown - straight torn underpastedown profile at front - back not visible Structure: English Edges: Plain cut, sprinkled with red and tan pigment and polished Spine Lining: Moderate round, tight back, no evidence of linings End Bands: Missing. Worked in blue and white silk with 4 tiedowns Bookmark: None Boards: 3mm rope fibre boards, no back cornering, select lacing (1,3,4,6 of 6), somewhat random angles. Covering: Thin brown tanned calf, with very sparse sprinkling with black pigment in the outermost frame and dense sprinkling with same in centre panel. Turn-ins and board edges stained black. Tooling Spine: gold-tooleddouble fillet at head and tail and flower tool in centre of each panel; title pabel in panel 2 Tooling Sides: gold-tooled double fillet border; blind tooled double panel with two rolles round centre panel, fleurons on corners of outer panel; gilt roll on board edges Furniture: None Enclosure: Bookshoe Binding Notes:
