Old shelfmark on pastedown: 3 E, 20C purple ink stamp: The National Trust, contains shield template, 2 letters from the Comptroller General's Office, dated 11 Dec 1876 and 26 Feb 1877, with advice on individual coats of arms and mottoes, the signature cannot be deciphered, a sheet of paper with design of coat of arms for Mandi (C), sketch on final page. Provenance: Pictorial bookplate (6.7x5cm): Ex Libris Rudyard Kipling AD 1894. Binding: Half leather with marbled paper over boards, white title label on upper board, bad condition with spine completely missing.
