Provenance: Hervey armorial bookplate, with Baron's coronet, label mark of cadency [i.e. first son] and motto Je n'oublierai jamais [probably John Augustus, Lord Hervey (1757-1796)]. Binding: Nineteenth-century full leather binding; gilt fillet and gilt tooled border; Twentieth-century rebacked spine gilt decorated and lettered: "Chambers Cyclopaedia by Rees".

Provenance

Part of the Bristol Collection. The house and contents were acquired through the National Land Fund and transferred to the National Trust in 1956
