Binding: Seventeenth-century binding, probably calf but leather gone except for very small scorched fragments on back board showing trace of double fillet border. Bare boards (worn), almost detached. Sewn on 5 cords, but notches visible on spine for earlier binding on 3 or 4 cords. In conservation tissue.
