In April 1754 inventory of books in Belton Chapel (after Tyrconnel's death) as '2 Bibles, ruled, bound in Crimson Velvet, with Silver Bosses, gilt. (Used) / At the Communion Table'. Binding: Seventeenth-century dark-red velvet binding over boards (worn, front joint frayed), heavy silver-gilt corner-pieces and centre-pieces. Marbled end-papers, edges of text-block gilt. In conservation tissue with card wrapper.
