Binding: Nineteenth-century full brown morocco; gilt roll and triple gilt fillet to form a border; gilt-stamped cornerpieces (floral spray); sewn onto five raised bands; gilt tooled spines, lettered direct: 'Morant's History of Essex' and 'Illustrated / Vol. I[-V].'; double gilt fillet on board edges; gilt rolled turn-ins; gilt textblock edges; marbled endpapers.
