British Museum stamps on title page verso, p.36 and p.124: 1. F. H. Mvsevm Britannicvm [The stamp used for Francis Hargrave books: cf. BL cat.]. 2. B.M. duplicate 1818. Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Inscribed on flyleaf in Norris's hand: Shalstone Manor 17/5 '44 Lot 800 7/6.. Binding: Eighteenth-century full calf over boards; double gilt fillets; gilt spine title "Ld. Grey's Rye-House Plot"; sewn on five raised bands.
