This bookplate has been pasted over manuscript inscription of "Tittenhanger library" [i.e. from the library at Tittenhanger in Hertfordshire formed by Thomas Pope Blount, grandfather of the wife of Charles Yorke (1722-1770)].. Binding: Seventeenth-century sprinkled calf binding; double blind fillet border, with blind floral cornerpiece stamps; gilt roll on board edges; blind fillet and red gilt title label on spine. Marbled edges.
