Binding: Seventeenth-century mottled calf binding; gilt armorial centrepiece stamp (unidentified, continental): a chevron between three bunches of grapes, supporters two greyhounds collared, coronet with four pearls in two pairs alternating with three strawberry leaves; gilt roll on board edges; gold-tooled spine, with gilt title label. Marbled endpapers.
