Manuscript initials on title page: "M:L". Extensive manuscript notes in English written in an eighteenth- or nineteenth-century hand in faded pencil on rear fly-leaf and pastedown. Binding: seventeenth-century full calf; triple blind fillet border; stubs of two pairs of green cloth ties on both boards; gilt chain roll pattern on board edges; blind fillets and gilt title label on spine. Initials 'IEC' or 'EIC' stamped in blind on both boards. Blue sprinkled edges. Fore-edge title label attached to leaf 46 of the Apocrypha (sig. f6), with manuscript title: "La biblia Cypriano De Valera [flourish]".
