Manuscript inscription in late fifteenth-century or sixteenth-century hand before list of contents on leaf s6 recto: "Persius cu[m] duobus co[m]mentis. s. Ioannis britanici et b[ar]th[olomm]ei fontij" [the Satires of Persius Flaccus with commentary by Johannes Britannicus and Bartholomaeus Fontius was first published in Venice, 1491]. Nineteenth-century former shelfmark on front pastedown: 22.D.20. Binding: nineteenth-century half-bound calf with marbled paper over boards; spine gilt; gilt title 'Enarrationes Satyrae Juvenalis' on green morocco spine label.
