In this copy, the colophon has the incorrect reading "Pregrinum", and quires a, b, h, and sheet f4.5 have been reset. Initial spaces left blank. No decoration. Worm holes in leaves a1-e2, with loss of some text. Infrequent manuscript marginal annotations, manicules and underscoring of text (e.g. a6, b2, g6, h2, l3) in sixteenth-century hand. Provenance: library of Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742) of Nocton, Lincolnshire. Manuscript codes on leaf [pi]1 recto: "1:-", "15" and "A". Manuscript device on blank page o8 verso: copy of lower portion of printer's device on previous page, circle containing shell the letter B, inscription on either side "Signu[m] mei / faehrni de cottis."[?]. Binding: eighteenth-century 'temporary' binding of quarter-bound sheepskin with light blue paper over boards; sewn on four cords; gilt title lettered on spine 'Diogenes Laertius Lat.'.
