Structure: English Edges: plain cut, marbled (early ‘turkish’), polished Spine Lining: moderate round, quadrant joints, no visible lining End Bands: worked L-R 2x2 plain(?) thread over rolled paper cores Bookmark: loosely inserted green ribbon (19th century?) Boards: 3.5mm laminated couched laminate(?) boards with pieces of tanned skin between the laminations showing in the lower back edge of the back board, no back cornering, all slips laced , perpendicular Covering: brown tanned calf, sprinkled with large drops of a black corrosive stain, polished Tooling Spine: blind-tooled 3-fillet frames within each panel Tooling Sides: blind-tooled 3-fillet board and quarter line, fleurons head and tail of ‘quarter’ panel small fleuron in corners of other panel; gold-tooled roll on the board edgesFurniture: Enclosure: None Binding Notes: None
